Lawrence J. Waldman, CPA, brings over four decades of leadership and expertise in accounting, finance, and corporate governance. A veteran of the industry, Mr. Waldman began his career at KPMG LLP in 1972, eventually rising to become Managing Partner of the firm’s Long Island office, a role he held from 1994 to 2006.

Currently, Mr. Waldman is a Senior Advisor at First Long Island Investors, LLC, an investment and wealth management firm, a position he has held since 2016. He also serves as Chair of the Long Island Association, a key business leadership organization in the region.

Mr. Waldman contributes his extensive financial and audit oversight experience to several corporate boards. He has been a member of the Board of Directors at Apyx Medical Corporation since 2011, serving as Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee. Since 2015, he has also been on the board of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., where he holds similar roles.

At CVD Equipment Corporation, Mr. Waldman serves as Chair of the Board and Audit Committee, bringing strategic leadership to the company since his appointment in 2016.

In addition to his corporate board roles, Mr. Waldman is Chair of the Supervisory Committee for Bethpage Federal Credit Union. His public service experience includes past appointments to the Board of Trustees for the State University of New York and the Long Island Power Authority, where he held leadership roles on audit and finance committees.

With a track record of trusted leadership and financial stewardship, Mr. Waldman continues to play a pivotal role across both private and public sectors.
