As TD Bank’s commercial market president for suburban New York, Anthony Esernio is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the bank’s commercial and small business banking efforts throughout a network of 140 retail locations and commercial bank hubs across Long Island, Westchester, the Lower Hudson Valley, Albany and Fairfield, Conn. Since joining TD Bank in 2002, Esernio has played a pivotal leadership role in driving organic growth throughout the suburban New York market. He and his team take pride in building strong, meaningful customer relationships as active members of the communities they serve. Esernio has nearly 40 years of banking and finance experience. Prior to joining TD Bank, he spent five years as a vice president and loan officer at EAB after spending 12 years at Chase. Outside of work, Esernio is actively involved in the community and currently serves as the treasurer for the Long Island Housing Partnership, the finance chair of the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island and as a board member of the Viscardi Center. In 2019, Esernio was selected as the honoree of the New York Marine Rescue Center’s Oceans of Hope Gala and, in 2022, he served as a guest panelist at the Long Island Association’s inaugural Small Business Forum. He is also president of the board of directors for the Child Care Council of Nassau. Esernio is a graduate of the Energeia Partnership Class of 2017. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from Adelphi University.
